Membership

There are two types of membership: On the one hand, there is the possibility to become an individual that means active member. This kind of membership is non-transferable. Each person, who works in the area of nursing science or as a nurse and is interested in the further development of nursing science can became a member of the German Society of Nursing Science. This encompasses also nursing students from universities or those who are in a vocational training program.

The membership fee amount is 110 Euros per year from 1^st of January 2015. Nursing students from universities or those who are in a vocational training program, participants of an advanced training program, unemployed persons or retired persons have to pay only 50 Euros. In order to pay the lower fee, they have to submit an appropriate certification.

On the other hand there is the opportunity for a sponsoring membership. Legal persons like associations, societies, unions and other institutions or single natural persons can apply for this status.  If the contact person of an association or another institution quit their job, the membership of the association in the German Society of Nursing Science remains.

The fee of a sponsoring membership amount is 150 Euro per year. This is a minimum fee and the German Society of Nursing Science wants to point out, that all members of the supporting association or institution can participate in all of its services.
